KCC received Ericsson's Senior Vice President

Tae Gun Hyung, Standing commissioner at Korea Communications Commission, received Torbjorn Possne, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of Ericsson which is Swedish provider of telecommunications equipment and related services, and introduced Korean policies of converged services and WiBro on March 13.
Mr. Possne said that his company will make efforts to enhance the global competitiveness of WiBro, which is the world first commercialized service in Korea, in various sectors including equipment and solutions. He said, in addition, they will enlarge cooperation with Korean industry in the future.
Furthermore, he showed much interest in Korean policies and regulations of communications convergence.
Mr. Hyung explained the present situation of wired and wireless telecommunications market and the IPTV policies in Korea. Also, he asked Mr. Possne to expand investment in Korea because a testbed environment for telecommunications service has been well constructed and there are a lot of companies with high-tech in Korea.
