KTV 'Cultural documentary, special meeting' with comic artist Won Bok Rhie

On January 8th, The National Audio Visual Information Service KTV’s (president Hyung Gi Son) 32nd ’Cultural documentary, special meeting’ will broadcast on Won Bok Rhie who is considered to have developed educational comic genre and is playing the role of a cultural interpreter in our era.
Won Bok Rhie is the author of (far country, neighbor country) comic series that have sold 15 million copies and have been read by two thirds of the nation. ’Garosero segesa’ (garosero world history), ’Booja kookmin ildeung kyungjae’ (rich nation first economy) ’Shin eui nara ingan nara’ (God’s country human country) and his other comics are read by children and adults alike and become a bestseller upon release. He takes history, politics, economy as the theme for his works and in 2008, he published a comic book on wine and revealed his extensive knowledge through the eye-catching, easy-to-understand pictures.
Comic artist Lee who regards it his life work to capture the information demanded by the era and convey the culture and the education of mankind, considers researching for his books vital and has drawn cartoons for 46 years without missing a deadline once. It lights his philosophy on his cartoon that’s imbued with his uniqueness.
The National Audio Visual Information Service KTV’s ’Cultural documentary, special meeting’ which captures the passionate lives and the cultural philosophies of the artists of our era through lively pictures and interviews, will air Won Bok Lee’s episode on Thursday January 8th at 3:30pm.
