Title	Korea Communications Commission grants '010' number to WiBro

Korea Communications Commission held the 47th conference on the 24th and agreed to grant number '010' to WiBro so that it may provide voice call service. WiBro (Wireless Broadband Internet) : Communications service that enables mobile wireless internet with high transfer rate. Developed by Korean technology, the service was provided commercially for the first time in the world in June 2006. Korea Communications Commission expects the users to find more benefits with WiBro through which they will be able to make voice calls to those using local phones, mobile phones and other communication network services and provide an opportunity for the WiBro service to become active, which will then help the launching of WiBro overseas. Furthermore, if voice call, text message and various number-based services are provided, it will stimulate the competitiveness of the communication market and help reducing the rates.
